Oversight Fees

Each probationer is charged a $20.00 monthly supervision fee for each month they are on probation. These monies do not go towards the Probation Officer, Judge, court clerk or any other paid staff. The monies are returned back to the funding unit or city in which the offense occurred, i.e. Grandville or Walker. This money helps defray the costs and expenses in running the court and serves as a "tax break" for citizens. Probation fees should be paid on a monthly basis via cash or money order. Some choose to pay their oversight fees off in full in advance. Since the main probation office is located in Grandville, all oversight fees are paid there regardless if the case originated in Walker.
